Hi Moderators,

Please be more aggressive in deleting the spam posts that come in the forum. No one is allowed to post an affiliate ID in their posts. I have been removing most of the spam and I need your help...

If you have any questions dont hesitate to PM me....

Take care
JEff Casmer

I tried deleting some spam in one of the sections of the forum yesterday but it turns out I am not a moderator of that section. I think it was the Affiliate Programs section. Don't worry I will always delete spam when I see it. As you know Jeff I have been a Mod at quite a few forums over the years and I hate spam! I've always been aggressive with it.

Hi Laura and Everybody!

Thanks for keeping the lookout...there was a big spammer in here that Cyn alerted me too. It amazes me even after all these years....

I have to manually approve each one so that should give people the clue that we are watching!!!LOL

Take care
Jeff Casmer

One thing I wanted to add...

When someone spams it's better to just delete the message instead of editing it and saying something like, "your message has been deleted, we don't tolerate spam" - because 99% of spammers will never come back to read it anyway. Plus, you end up having a forum full of posts saying that and it does nothing for the forum or members.

I've moderated several forums over the years and that is just something I have learned.

Hi Trent,

Good point. Remember to be careful as sometimes you are not sure if this person is spamming or just being overly assertive in their post......it is a fine line but usually you can tell the spammer....

Take care
Jeff Casmer
