Building One Way Links: 3 Successful Strategies to Build Links

One hugely important task that all net marketers must undertake, and undertake effectively, is building a link trail. Link building is,
in many respects the source of success of most sites and getting links
from authoritative websites should be the cornerstone of any link campaign.
Contrary to popular belief, one way link building is not about increasing your
Google PageRank, swapping links with as many websites as possible or
search engine optimization. It’s actually about implementing a strategy
unique to your business so that you get the positive results that can
be experienced when building backlinks is done right. Without a proper
strategy you may left heavily disappointed.
So how do you go about creating such a strategy? Continue reading.
Understand your marketplace
When a consumer is looking for a solution to their problems they’ll
scan directories, read product reviews and articles, and join
discussion groups. The sites that your prospective customer uses to
decide what they do and don’t buy are the sites you want to be on.
You do not want to exchange links with 50 websites that may or may
not be related to your business model. You want to exchange links
with the most important information websites that your prospective
customer frequents.
To do this you need to understand your market. What markets do you
truly service? If, you were in the “software market” then you may
look for channels that served that market but if the software you
sold was used in educational sectors than you may also want to
look for portals that served that market. For every niche there
are at least 3 other niches that are significant to it from
which you can generate links.
Develop good content
We don’t call the web the information highway for nothing; people
are always looking for something. Well written publications are
what consumers look for. Whether you write thought pieces are
product reviews it has to be able to get in front of as many
readers as possible in order to make it an effective linking
strategy by building a link trail.
It has to be attractive to both search engines and humans so
they will link to it. A few words tossed on a page isn’t good
enough, not with the picky nature of web browsers. It also has
to contain some words that a reader would use to look for such
a topic otherwise it could be beautifully written but left
unread. Be aware of keywords that your market would use and
incorporate them in your articles.
Issue a press release
Submitting a press release to a newswire is a very effective way
to building backlinks. They distribute your news to thousands of
journalists and editors on their database. Once distributed it
can be picked up and covered by both local and national media.
Link building using the strategy of one way link building is not something that is done overnight. It may
take a while for your site to get noticed but by developing
good content and looking for both media and non-media sites to
distribute your work you can get your site linked a lot faster.
